Theater Fun
Ages 4-6
Saturdays: 9:00-9:50AM

Even the youngest of students can get in on the fun! Theater games and storytelling exercises will help students gain confidence on the stage. We will work with props and music and familiar stories to add to the enjoyment.
Introduction to Theater

Storytelling Around the World
Ages 7-10

Take a tour around the World! Not only will students learn about theater through acting games and improvisation, but they will also learn about different countries and cultures through dramatic play, storytelling, and crafts.
Musical Theatre
Ages 10-15

Musical theatre is more than just standing in the spotlight and singing a song. It is about working with an accompanist, fellow actors and the audience to tell a story through song and dance. In this class, we will be working on and performing songs that celebrate the art of musical theatre. Though our program focuses mainly on the process of theatre, our musical theatre class will have a small production at the end of the 6 week session.
Improvisation for the Stage
Ages 12-16

Meredith Melville brings years of Improvisation experience to Open Door. This class is for those ready to take on a fun challenge. Improvisation is a great way for actors to learn how to always be in the moment, ready to react and ready to commit to a character. With loads of fun improvisation games, this class is a great way to polish your acting skills.
