The Little Prince adapted from the book by Antoine de Saint Exupery; Play by Rick Cummins and John Scollar; directed by Samantha Gleisten
A world-weary and disenchanted Aviator finds himself stranded in the Sahara Desert where he meets a regal and mysterious “little man.” During their time together the Little Prince tells the Aviator of his adventures throughout the galaxy and of the people he has met and about his strained relationship with a very special flower on his own tiny planet. The Little Prince talks to everyone he meets and from each gains a unique insight which he shares with the Aviator “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.” One critic wrote that this play, based on the Exupery’s 1943 classic children’s book, “. . .is a multi-layered tale that awakens the child tucked inside all of us.”
